Running Twisties This Weekend, what's your Favorite?
So what route do you take up and back, aprox time?Been thinking about makin the run up,heck I eat at the Peaks almost once aweek now!
Click on the little word "MAP" above.
Gotcha, yeh I have made those roads, place must be pretty new, think I went by it last year.
Added it to the club map
Hwy 56 is definitely a good one. Good eats at the brewery, Another good ride is 311 from Roanoke into WVa. Potts mountain is quite a ride.
The only twisty action I get is snake road out in chester. I run that road everyday on the way to work. Theres about 32 turns in 2.5 miles. Its kinda like a trial edition.
You need to come to the mountains my friend!!
We definitely need to add 43S from Bedford to Altavista onto our favorite road list.
Not bad, long as you remind folks to go easy on that first part,Bedford police like writing tickets!
Added the twisty section to the VA Fun Roads map

I am up for that as well. I don't know the road names, but we take 311 to New Castle and then hwy 42 to Blacksburg in the fall a lot. Hwy 42 is a very beautiful ride when the fall colors are out.
Also like taking 311 on over Potts Mt as well down to Paint Bank. Going to have to go out there soon, and find a different route back. Also eat at the restaurant in Paint Bank to check it out. Would be a great meet, though a little far for some of our eastern folk.
New car, makes twisties new, currently going out daily driving roads I know from driving the NA and NB.The NC is fun but different, feels tall compared to the other 2,it is wider so gotta watch my edges closer.501 still my favorite!
We just came back from rafting the New River in West Virginia. On the way back, we took a route over the New River Gorge bridge that took us down highway 60 to meet I-64. The stretch just north of the town of Rainelle is fantastic, though it would have been better in something other than a Honda minivan. If you're up that way for rafting or camping, it's worth a ride. I missed a shot of the curvy road sign, subcaptioned with "6 miles", unfortunately.
