20th Anniversary MX-5
NOT AVAILABLE TO US BUYERS!!
WTF?
In true Mazda fashion, the Japanese carmaker will celebrate its latest MX-5 milestone with another special-edition model. The MX-5 20th Anniversary Edition will make its world debut at the Geneva auto show in March.
Production will be limited to 2,000 units painted in either true red, crystal white pearl or a special Aurora blue. Based off the SE soft-top model, the Anniversary Edition adds special exterior styling touches, including chrome grille surround, door handles, headlight fascia, specific 17-inch wheels and 20th-anniversary badging.
In addition, each car will be equipped with a serial number, stainless-steel scuff plates and body-colored trim for the interior. The only minor performance upgrade included is a front suspension strut tower bar.
Unfortunately, U.S. MX-5 fans won't be able to get their hands on this limited-edition model because the 20th Anniversary Edition MX-5 will be available exclusively in Europe.

I like how they rub it in (not available in US) by painting them red, white and blue. That's a shame, the miata is such a good looking car, I'm sure they'd find a good amount of enthusiast in the US who would get one if it were available.
Um, Britain and France came first and they're red white and blue...
Stupid Americans....
France don't count. Yellow is their true color.

No I just think it's funny people are all we're first and we're the only ones. We split from a country whose flag was RW&B for pete's sake.
And I'm in the whoop de doo side of the vote as well. Call me when they sell a superlight.

^this
manual windows, no AC, manual steering rack, minimal interior trim, aluminum or CF trunk, FCM tuned Bilsteins and an O.S. Giken rear diff - offer it in the old M edition colors
THAT is the true to the original spirit of the car kind of Anniv Ed I would pay extra for
My wishlist:
AC w/manual controls and elec compressor, elec steering is fine and would have a quicker ratio than manual anyway (speed sensitive assist is great), light trim, aftermarket deck rather than some OEM monstrosity, Black Cherry Mica, and speakers in the seats for old time sake.
Also if they could make the interior this:
Big birthday party in Irvine, CA this past weekend for the MX-5. Here's an interesting article and video.
