First Post of 2010
Thought the first post of 2010 would be the perfect time to let everyone know that I am yet another owner that has parted with their RX-8. It was a tough decision but with a 13 mo old and possibly more kids in the future, Kirstin and I decided I needed something bigger that would be suitable for year round weather. That being said, I have traded my 2006 Phantom Blue RX-8 in this past week for a 2007 Mazda CX-7 touring in Liquid Platinum Silver. I am really enjoying the CX-7 and the torque and AWD that the RX-8 lacked. I absolutely loved the sound of the rotary and the feel you get driving it. I had been test driving the CX-7 on an off throughout the year and eventually brought myself to love it. I will miss the rotary as there really is no suitable replacement for it. I will be removing the aftermarket parts tomorrow and will have them in the for sale forum for good prices. I'll get pics of the CX-7 up as soon as I can. Looking forward to the meet in January!
PS: no one ever told me how nice the butt warmers are on the leather seats
Now there's a way to start the new year off! Holy cow David. I had no idea. But I will be anxious to ride in the CX-7, I have a partial eye on those myself. And I've never ridden in one.
Congrats! I know who to call now when we get snow.
Wow. I know you will love the CX-7. But really hate seeing the 8 go. Congrats.
Oh, and we are waiting for pics.
Wow! So much has happen since I've been in here. I should get back on my game! Congrats David! Happy New Year everyone! Also, congrats Fred. How long ago did you get your 8?
Kelli has decided she wants the punishment of an additional lil Chey to the one we already have. I kept my 8 and got a really nice 1996 T-5 Turbo Volvo Wagon. I love that thing! Butt warmers as well. Plenty of mods to be had. I've put 27 miles on the 8 in about a month. I am glad to pop in here and see everyone is doing pretty well.
I know how you feel Fred. I had to do the same thing with my MX6 GT last summer, for the same reason. Unfortunately, I couldnt talk the wife into a Mazda5, but at least i still have my MX6 DX . Give us your opinion on the cx7 once you've had it a few months.
