I replaced the filter on my CAI and now I've got an extra. I'm selling the Mazdaspeed filter with the sock. I just recently cleaned it then took it off about a week later.IT would be great if you need a new filter or want an extra.

I'll part with it for $30, the price if a cheap filter. Pics tomorrow when I get to work.

I put a flow stack and a 6" filter on it. Flow Stack helps a little with channeling air better. They claim up to 10HP increase, but I doubt it. I don't notice a difference but I like to think it is just a hair bit smoother.

Plus the bend in the CAI probably counteracts the channeling that happens  but I am thinking of getting rid of that and making a shorter CAI/ram intake using the piping. I have to actually take the bumper off again and see what I can do.

Most filters have a velocity stack inside them.  Did you add another or something?

Yes.

Generally they have small velocity stacks at the end of the filter. I bought a velocity stack that is the size of the filter. It channels and stabilizes the air much more effectively since it is channeled the moment it enters the filter instead of as it is hitting the tubing towards the throttle body.
