June 28th NASA Autox @ VMP in Petersburg
Event link for registration: https://www.nasaproracing.com/event/915
Just announced, the "Economic Stimulus/Rebate Package" for the June 28 NASA-MA autocross at VMP: If we get 60 paid entries (not counting officials), we will issue 5 entry fee refunds and give away 3 Circuitcross entries (Sun Jul 26 @ VIR.) If we get 70 paid entries (i.e. a full house plus officials), we will issue 10 entry fee refunds and give away 5 Circuitcross entries. All winners will be chosen randomly, and nobody can win both prizes, which means it's possible that fifteen drivers will get something in return... other than the usual day of fun with cars and cones of course!

I have asked for heat 1 as well, and car #40
Just registered! I guessed at car number since It only really matters if you have one reserved or aren't making them out of tape. And yes I did remember to ask for heat 1.
I'm 787 again hopefully! I'm ordering numbers next week but I doubt they'll be in before the event...
Signed up for Heat 1.
Shea/Nis01 - '99 Miata - NXE
Good to have you jump in the fray Shea.
What was the state of your camera for that avatar pic? lol
LoL. The picture is just some random shot from an old Subie gauge.
I've been to VMP before but not in the miata, should be interesting... been a while since I've done some cone killing.
Just realized we have a Shea and Chey in the club... should be fun when we yell names...
New wheels and tires have arrived. Looking forward to testing out the new tires if I can get them mounted in time.
Wish I had some R-comps to run with... I feel I'm going to be pretty heavily outgunned in NXE.
reminds me I need to take the hardtop off before next weekend
Do they even check which class you sign up in for NASA? It seemed like last time tech inspection was way to quick to verify the work performed to the car... I'm outclassed, lol.. I've got M3s and turbo supras to contend with.
The 8 handles really well, but facts are facts when it comes to low end torque!
2nd is all I use :) - well, that and first when I start off...
If the course gets setup differently, I may need 3rd.
I'm going to see how this season goes and then look at installing the 4.77 rear and 1.5 way LSD..
The Saturday before I'll be bleeding brakes and such to prepare... mostly because the new fluid is clear and I was still getting foggy yellow crap out last time. Maybe I'll visit Pierce at his bowtie dealership and do a brake flush with the vacuum/pressure bleeder.
I can get Amsoil Dot3 (525/313) and Dot4 (580/410) (dry boiling point/we boiling point) locally for $5/$11 for 12oz bottle, respectively. I can also get cases of 12 so we can split it up. Most people forget to bleed brakes once a year since non-racing fluids absorb water to prevent rust & corrosion at the expense of their boiling point. I can also get all other Amsoil stuff at a discount so let me know if you need anything. (I hear their manual trans fluids are awesome and it's one of the favorite fluid changes in the Speed6)

you should be an even match for any of the M3's but if the Supra your referring to is the blue 3rd gen driven by Brian, you're screwed
your best bet is to try and keep your speed up through the corners
well the hardtop is off and I'm ready to rock
Yup - that's him, Brian. He's got a nice setup and can drive well apparently.
The M3s in general, I'm not worried about, but its the ones that have full exhaust, intake modifications, cams, etc that I'm curious about... they make tons more power low end then the 8.
I'm trying to find more speed in the corners, but I still understeer more than I'd like to. I have the RB front bar which works well, considering disconnecting my rear bar all together to see if it helps.. next step will be shocks/springs.....
