I'll be getting my wheels powdercoated soon, and when they're done I'll be getting new tires when I pick them up in Lynchburg.  I'm looking for a shop with a top of the line (road force) balancing machine, uses lead weights (steel ones rust), and sells Kumho tires.

If you trust them just post their basic info about what experience you have with them and their contact info and if I should ask for someone specific and tell them you sent me.

I got my tires from http://acetire.michelindealers.com/. I found my Kumhos on ebay and then called the guy. Easy to deal with and quite reasonable. You could then talk to Scott about getting them mounted and balanced.

It's gotta be in Lynchburg since I'll be riding on Nate's wheels and tires and need to return them asap after.

I found the tires for 108 each (Kumho Ecsta SPT 225/50/17) and 40 to ship.  I just need a trusted shop with a proper badass balancer.  I would use scott but I don't want to be stuck with 4 of Nate's wheels and tires for a few weeks.

I'm not sure about the "road force" balancer, but I've done my wheels/tires from AutoXtras. Just happens to be about a 1/2 mile down the road from Lynchburg Mazda. I believe they can get most any tire you need and they do some wild and exotic wheel and tire combos so I'm gonna guess they can balance like the pros.

I took my current wheels, that I bought elsewhere, to them and they were happy to mount them. I also bought rims and tires from them for one of my verts. Good people.

It's the Hunter GSP9700 http://www.gsp9700.com/

And AutoXtras has one!  SO does Lynchburg Mazda, Harris Tire, Carpenter Tire, Kenny's Tire.  So I'll be calling them pricing my Kumhos.  I'll give favor to AutoXtras within a few bucks since they were club recommended. wink

Good! If Shane is still there, he's the one I end up talking to the most. Jeff is the owner but doesn't deal with the day-to-day as much. I haven't been over there lately but they should remember doing the RX-8. Tell him our club is getting bigger and bigger! Sponsorships are available!
