Dash Parts For '88 Convertible
Those pesky little window defogger vents on each corner of the dash. Triangular (sort of) in shape. Grey color.
The black plastic that surrounds the stereo controls and air vents, includes ash tray.
Both for an '88 convertible.
Hey John - if you're not stuck on keeping it original, I'd put an S5 radio surround and A/C vents in. Much better material, looks nicer and won't break. I don't have any extra right now, but a buddy of mine in MD might, I'll check with him if you're interested...
Would they fit the same? I haven't payed any attention to the S5 interior, I just always looked for the '88 pieces knowing that a lot of the parts changed in '89. Inform me!
Yea. I put S5 interior in my S4. Actually, I'll have my surround and a/c vents for sale later in the summer, but you'll probably find some by then, lol. I can snap a pic if you want to see what the s5 stuff looks like so you get a better idea.
Its a normal upgrade for S4s too - since the materials used are much better.
You can fit entire S5 interior into an S4 minus the plastic parts around the A pillar (auto seatbelts being the culprit) and the B pillar (behind each seat, leading up to the headliner)...
So would the S5 surround and a/c vents fit into the S4 dash? Or would the dash have to be converted too?
Nope, no dash conversion.
You just need the vents and the surround. They pop right in place of the S4 stuff.
That's great to know. Now I can expand my EBay search.
I have the surround for the stereo and ashtray from my 88 vert if you are still looking for that part, just let me know
Yes, I'm still in need Justin. We'll have to get together on some parts. Maybe I can get down to Hurt one day and take a look if you don't have them dismantled.
