Welcome Message to New Members
Yep. I know I was a bit slow. I was out of the country when the forum started and just didn't get around to signing up until now. I'll try to hit the Richmond meet. The only thing that might stop me is if I go down to Atlanta for Zoom-Fest. I believe both meets are planned for the same weekend in July (18/19).
I prefer smaller meets with hanging out or going for a drive to the larger track based meets (like Zoom-Fest), but I know some of the guys down in Atlanta area and also an RX-7 guy that I know well (on the forums) is going down there all the way from Michigan. It would be nice to finally meet him. We'll see.
There is a smaller meet down that way also in August that I am planning on going to. I think it is the week before the Dragon trip. Anyway, just got to plan which ones I can go to. I would like to hit them all if I could. :)
If anyone is interested in Zoom-Fest, I made a post about it in the Auto-x section on here.

I'm hoping to meet some of you at the Richmond meet; I'll be coming in from Virginia Beach. Just let me know when and where to show up! My car is a 2004 Lightning Yellow RX-8 with 47,000 joyous miles on it. Eye protection is recommended.

Hey, hey Pat! Nice to have you join in. It will be fun to have a gang of cars from all sides of the state next weekend. Looking forward to it.
Hi everyone, new member here. My name is Jason and I live in Goode, VA, just west of Lynchburg. I wasn't even aware of such a club here in central VA! Glad to see so many Mazda lovers in the area.
A little bit about my cars:
I have a '94 Miata, black, with way too many mods to list right now. My wife drives an '08 MS3 and I have an '87 RX7 that I'm currently building into an ITS race car.
A little bit about me:
Born and raised in central VA. Got bit by the Mazda bug about 4 years ago when I bought my first Miata, a '90. I built it into an SM and I have been racing with the SCCA for the past 3 seasons. I currently use my black miata as HPDE/instructor car. The race track is more my thing...my car is nothing pretty to look at, but she does alright on the track ;-)
I look forward to meeting and hanging out with y'all!
-Jason
Welcome Jcocke. You will definitely have to get you one of our meets soon.
Welcome Jason, might as well plan for this Saturday eh? How are you on spur of the moment decisions?
Unfortunately I can't make this weekend...plus Richmond is a little too far to take my Miata ![]()
I will definitely get more involved for the closer stuff.

What about the wife's Speed? :)
Hey, my name is Scott, and I'm a new guy from Waynesboro. I am a HUGE Miata addict. I have a red '90 track/autox/steetish car, a '92 flat black Spec Miata (SCCA/NASA racer), and a '94 Black and tan. At any point in time though, there are several other Miata's going through my hands, but those are the "keepers"
Welcome Scott. Glad to have you aboard. Hope to see you at one of our meets soon.

Pics of ALL THREE in the MX-5/Miata section Scott, or I'm calling BS!!
Welcome
He has them, trust me, Scott collects Miata's like most women collect shoes. One for daily driving, one for autocross, and one for spec Miata. Glad to see you on the board Scott
Looks like a nice garage as well!!!
Hi my name is Jon. Yes i am a mazda addict but I skip the meetings. I grew up all reound the PA, MD and WV area. I now live down here due to my line of work. Been on another forum for a while but just got interduced to this one recently.
I have a 2001 MP3. Current mods list is quite long. I have been playing with her since 2004 and i will not go back. Anyone that went to the hall meet I was there.
Hope to see you guys around.
Nice to have you join in Jon. Welcome.
hey fellow members, my name is tyler i bought a 2007 black ms3 with mods made from the previous owner such as short shifter, CAI, pioneer d3 system, polk audio speakers and a 800 watt amp for some reason, i only blacked out the emblems and refectors so far. i was at the richmond meet had fun and hoping to have another before the year is over due to there being more back roads worthy of driving and wanting to meet fellow speed 3 drivers
Glad you could make it on Tyler. Welcome to the club, again.
You are very correct in that there are many, many more back roads worthy of driving. Wait until you come to the mountains! Oh, and bring your wife. We don't want her to feel left out.
